Keeping a sketchbook is always a great idea and always helpful to improve drawing skills, if I talk from an animation point of view gesture drawing is a great tool to improve the sense of body language, and in animation body gestures and poses are very much important. I would always suggest that keep a very handy sketchbook and grad people's gestures around you. Here I am posting some of my quick sketches as well as pencil drawings. Thanks
